	PART 6: Modem Information

1. Set the Modem Type to your modem model. If your modem is not listed select Hayes Compatible
2. Set the COM port for the COM port for which your modem is configured.
3. Set the Speed to the appropriate port speed for your modem. For 14.4 modems use 19200, for 28.8 modems use 38400 and for 56k use 57600.
   Note: Do not set the modem to higher to a higher speed than shown, it will only result in the modem timing out and dropping carrier.
   
4. Set the Databits to 8
5. Set the Parity to None
6. Set the Prefix to ATDT
7. If your modem requires a specific initialization string, type it in the Initialization String 1 text box. Use the modem string recommended for your modem or use the default.
8. If your modem requires a specific initialization string, type it in the Initialization String 2 text box. Use the modem string recommended for your modem or use the default.
9. If you wish to disable call waiting, type *70 in the Call Waiting text box.
   Note that all areas do not use *70 to disable call waiting so if *70 does not work for you, contact your local telephone company for the correct code. Note that call waiting will always turn back on after you disconnect from DigiTex.net.
10. Set the Mode to Dial
11. Close the Window and save the information

    When you connect you may or may not see the following errors:

    	error : [netw] invalid protocol 2080
    	error : [netw] invalid fcs

    Don't worry, the errors do not relate to any incorrect settings.

    When the "[ppp] enter ctrl-c or ctrl-break to end" message appears you are connected. Once connected start any of the OS/2 Internet software and have fun.
