Disable the Hard Drive

If you want to start up your Macintosh from a disk other than your internal startup disk, follow the procedure below.

Disable Hard Drive at Bootup
  1. Start or restart the Macintosh.
  2. Immediatlly hold down the , , and keys, all at once.
  3. Once you see the Happy Mac startup screen, you can release the keys.
