Download

1. Connect to DigiTex.net.
2. Open a web browser (Netscape Navigator, MSIE, etc.)
3. Open your Web browser and go to: ftp://ftp.usm.maine.edu/pegasus
4. Download Pegasus Mail for Windows 3.x Winpm - v2.5.
5. When the download is complete, close the web browser (do not disconnect from the Internet.)

Install

1. Using File Manager, go to the directory to which you downloaded the Pegasus Mail setup file.
2. Double-click the downloaded file (winpm252.exe)

   

3. At the WinZip Self-Extractor window, click Setup.
4. Wait for the files to unzip.
5. At the Pegasus Mail Setup window, click Continue installation.

   

6. At the second Pegasus Mail Setup window, click No NetWare Support.

   

7. At the Where would you like to put it window, click OK, accept this directory.

   

8. At the Ready to install window, click Install Pegasus Mail.

   

9. Wait while Pegasus installs.
10. When you see the Setup completed window, click Exit.

Configure

1. Double-click the Pegasus Mail icon.

   

2. At the Setting up mailboxes window, click the first button (the icon with one computer and one person.)

   

3. At the Setup information window, click OK.

   

4. At the Using WINSOCK.DLL window, click Yes.

   

5. In the POP3 host text box, type mail.digitex.net
6. In the User name text box, type your DigiTex.net username 
7. In the Password text box, type your DigiTex.net password (be sure the case and spelling are correct.)
8. In the SMTP host text box, type mail.digitex.net
9. Click the OK button.
10. Reconnect to DigiTex.net if you are not still connected.
11. Pegasus is now configured to check and send mail.
12. If you need assistance using Pegasus, double click the Getting Started icon in the Pegasus Mail program manager group.
