Configure Mail Settings

1. Open Outlook Express.

   

2. If prompted to choose a Setup Option:
   1. Select I already have an Internet connection set up on this computer and I do not want to change it.

      

   2. Click the Next button.

      

   3. Click the Finish button.
3. If prompted to select a folder where Outlook Express should keep your messages, click OK to accept the default folder, or choose another folder and click OK

   

4. In the left frame, select Outlook Express.

   

5. In the right frame, click Read Mail

   

6. In the Display name text box, type your name.

   

7. Click the Next button.
8. In the E-mail address text box, type your e-mail address.

   

9. Click the Next button.
10. In the drop-down listbox, select POP3
11. In the Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server text box, type mail.digitex.net
12. In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server text box, type mail.digitex.net

    

13. Click the Next button.
14. In the POP account name text box, type your username.
15. In the Password text box, type your password.

    

16. Click the Next button.
17. In the Internet mail account name text box, type DigiTex.net Mail (this name can be anything you want).

    

18. Click the Next button.
19. Select Connect using my phone line.

    

20. Click the Next button.
21. Select Use an existing dial-up connection.
22. Select your DigiTex.net connection.

    

23. Click the Next button.

    

24. Click the Finish button.

2. In the right frame, click Read News.

   

3. In the Display name text box, type your name.

   

4. Click the Next button.
5. In the News (NNTP) server text box, type news.digitex.net
6. Do not select My news server requires me to log on.

   

7. Click the Next button.
   
8. In the Internet news account name text box, type DigiTex.net News (this name can be anything you want).

   

9. Click the Next button.
10. Select Connect using my phone line.

    

11. Click the Next button.
12. Select Use an existing dial-up connection.
13. Select your DigiTex.net connection.

    

14. Click the Next button.

    

15. Click the Finish button.
16. If prompted, click the Yes button to view a list of available newsgroups.

    

17. If prompted, click the Yes button to connect to the news server.
18. Wait while Outlook Express downloads a list of newsgroups.
