1. Double-click the My Computer icon.

How to Add Client for Microsoft Networks

1. Click the Add button.
   
2. Select Client.
   
3. Click the Add button.
   
4. From the Manufacturers: list, select Microsoft.
   
5. From the Network Clients: list, select Client for Microsoft Networks.
   
6. Click the OK button.
   

How to Add a Network Adapter

1. Click the Add button.
   
2. Select Adapter.
   
3. Click the Add button.
   
4. From the Manufactures: list, choose the manufacturer of your Network card.
   
5. From the Network Adapter: list, choose your Network card model.
   
6. Click the OK button.
   

How to Add TCP/IP

1. Click the Add button.
   
2. Select Protocol.
   
3. Click the Add button.
   
4. From the Manufactures: list, choose Microsoft.
   
5. From the Network Protocol: list, choose TCP/IP.
   
6. Click the OK button.
   

How to Configure TCP/IP

1. Choose the Configuration tab.
   
2. Under The following network components are installed:, choose TCP/IP.
   
3. Click the Properties button.
   
4. Choose the IP Address tab.
   
5. Select the Specify an IP address button.
   
6. In the IP Address: field, type 192.168.1.2
   
7. In the Subnet Mask: field, type 255.255.255.0
   
8. Choose the DNS Configuration tab.
   
9. Select Disable DNS.
   
10. Choose the WINS Configuration tab.
    
11. Select Disable WINS Resolution.
    
12. Choose the Gateway tab.
    
13. Clear the Installed Gateways text box.
    
14. Click the OK button.
    
15. Click the OK button.
    
16. Click the Yes button.
