Note: Due to current state of ISDN technology, various telephone company switch types, routers, and the staggered nature in which individual channel calls are placed, DigiTex.net cannot guarantee consistent dual channel connectivity at all times.
 
bulletUse the Up and Down arrow keys to select fields.
bulletUse the Enter key to modify fields.
bulletUse the Esc key to go back a screen.
bulletUse the Ctrl-L keys to refresh the screen.
Step 1 : Main Edit Menu
  1. Select Configure and press the Enter key on your keyboard.

Step 2 & 3: Configure
  1. Switch Type = Type the switch type provided by your local telephone company
  2. Chan Usage = Switch/Switch
  3. My Num A = Type your ISDN phone number for channel 1
  4. My Num B = Type your ISDN phone number for channel 2
  5. SPID 1 = Type your SPID number for ISDN channel 1
  6. SPID 2 = Type your SPID number for ISDN channel 2
  7. Data Usage = A+B
  8. Phone 1 Usage = A
  9. Phone 2 Usage = B
  10. Phone Num Binding = No
  11. My Name = Type your DigiTex.net username. For example: username
  12. My Addr = Type 192.168.100.100/24
  13. Rem Name = Type DigiTex.net (This must be the same as information as in step 18)
  14. Rem Addr = Type 100.100.100.100/24
  15. Dial = Type your local DigiTex.netEarth ISDN access number
  16. Route = IP
  17. NAT Routing = Yes The default is N/A. To set to yes scroll down and set the Bridge to No (step 19) then you can set the NAT Routing to Yes

  18. NAT Profile = DigiTex.net (This must be the same as information as in step 13)
  19. Bridge = No
  20. Send Auth = PAP
  21. Send PW = Type your DigiTex.net password
  22. Recv Auth = None
  23. Recv PW = N/A
  24. Save = Press the Enter key to save settings
  25. Hit the Esc key to go to Main Edit Menu.

Step 4: Ethernet
  1. Select Ethernet.
  2. Press the Enter key.
  3. Select Connections.
  4. Press the Enter key.
  5. From the list, select digitex.net.
  6. Press the Enter key.

Step 5: Connections
  1. Station = This is a profile name. This has already been entered
  2. Active = Yes
  3. Encaps = MPP
  4. Dial # = This field has already been entered
  5. Calling # = Leave Blank
  6. Called # = Leave Blank
  7. Route IP = Yes
  8. Route IPX = N/A
  9. Bridge = No
  10. Dial brdcast = N/A
  11. Encaps options = Go to step 6: Encaps Options
  12. Ip options = Go to step 7: IP Options
  13. Ipx options = Skip
  14. Session options = Skip
  15. Telco options = Go to step 8: Telco options
  16. Press the ESC key to go back.

Step 6: Encaps Options
  1. Send Auth = PAP
  2. Send PW = This field has already been entered
  3. Aux Send PW = N/A
  4. Recv PW = N/A
  5. DBA Monitor = Transmit-Recv
  6. Base Ch Count = Type 2
  7. Min Ch Count = Type 2
  8. Max Ch Count = Type 2
  9. MRU = 1524
  10. LQM = No
  11. LQM Min = 600
  12. LQM Max = 600
  13. Link Comp = Stac
  14. VJ Comp = Yes
  15. Dyn Alg = Quadratic
  16. Press the ESC key to go back.

Step 7: IP Options
  1. LAN Adr = 100.100.100.100/24
  2. Wan Alias = 0.0.0.0
  3. If Adrs = 0.0.0.0/0
  4. Preference = 100
  5. Metric = 1
  6. DownPreference = 120
  7. DownMetric = 7
  8. Private = No
  9. RIP = Off
  10. Client Pri DNS = 68.93.224.10
  11. Client Sec DNS = 68.93.224.12
  12. Client Assign DNS = No
  13. Client Gateway = 0.0.0.0
  14. Press the Esc key to go back.

Step 8: Telco options
  1. AnsOrig = Both
  2. Callback = No
  3. Exp Callback = No
  4. Call Type = Switched
  5. Group = N/A
  6. FT1 Caller = N/A
  7. Data Svc = 64K ( Select 64K if you have 64K ISDN lines or leave at 56K )
  8. Force 56 = N/A ( If Data Svc is set at 64K, this field will default to No )
  9. Bill # = Leave blank
  10. Press the Esc key.
  11. Press the Esc key again.
  12. Select Exit and accept
  13. Press the Enter key.
  14. Unplug the router for 5 seconds
  15. Plug the router back in. Doing this will reset the router, the screen will then refresh.

Step 9: Dialing
  1. Go to main edit menu
  2. Select Configure
  3. Press the Enter key.
  4. Press the Ctrl+D keys.
  5. Press the 1 key on your keyboard to dial.
