- On the desktop, double-click the DigiTex.net Dialer icon.
- From the Use the following account list, choose
the Dial-Up Networking connection for your DigiTex.net account (this should
be DigiTex.net username, where username is your
DigiTex.net
username).
- In the User name box, type your DigiTex.net username (Note: your username must be in all lower case).
- In the Password box, type your DigiTex.net password (Note: this is also
case-sensitive).
- If you wish to save your password, check the Save password box.
- From the Phone number list, select your DigiTex.net
access number.
- From the Dialing from list, select your location.

- Click the Dial Properties button.
- In the The area code is box, type your area code.
- From the I am in list, select your country.
- If you need to use a dial prefix (such as 9,
for an outside line), enter them in the two To access an outside line boxes.
- If you use a calling card, check Dial using Calling Card. Otherwise, leave
it unchecked.
- If you have call waiting and wish to disable it when you connect to DigiTex.net,
check This location has call waiting, and select the appropriate code from
the To disable it, dial list.
- For the The phone system at this location uses, select Tone dialing
if you have pushbutton phones, Pulse dialing if you have rotary phones.

- Click the OK button.

- Click the Configure button.
- Select the Phone Numbers tab.
- From the Country list, select your country.
- From the State/Province list, select your state or province.
- From the list of access numbers, find a number that is local to you (check with
your phone company if you are unsure whether a number is local or not). To retrieve
a current list of access numbers, click the Update Phone Numbers button.
- Double-click a number to add it to the list of Phone numbers to dial for current
location. You may add up to 10 numbers. To remove a number from the list of numbers
to dial, double-click it. Use the up and down arrow buttons to change the order in which
the numbers will be dialed.

- Select the Dial-Up Networking tab.
- To enable auto-dial (automatically connecting to the internet when an internet application
such as a web browser is started), check the Connect to the Internet as needed box.
- From the Use the following Dial-Up Networking connection list, select
your DigiTex.net connection (this should be DigiTex.net, where username
is your DigiTex.net username).
- To automatically dial without prompting you for login information, uncheck Prompt
for information before dialing
- To automatically launch your web browser once connected, check Launch browser when
connected.
- To enable redialing when the line is busy, check Redial.
- In the Before giving up, retry box, type the number of redial attempts.
- In the Between tries, wait boxes, type the minutes and seconds to wait between
each redial attempt.

- Click the Properties button.
- Select the General tab.
- Check Use area code and Dialing Properties.
- In the Area code box, type the area code of your DigiTex.net access number.
- In the Telephone number box, type your DigiTex.net access number.
- From the Country code list, select your country.
- From the Connect using list, select your modem.

- Select the Server Types tab.
- From the Type of Dial-Up Server list, select PPP: Windows 95, Windows NT 3.5,
Internet.
- Uncheck Log on to network.
- Check Enable software compression.
- Uncheck Require encrypted password.
- Uncheck NetBEUI.
- Uncheck IPX/SPX Compatible.
- Check TCP/IP.

- Click the TCP/IP Settings button.
- Select Server assigned IP address.
- Select Server assigned name server addresses.
- Check Use IP header compression.
- Check Use default gateway on remote network.

- Click the OK button.
- Select the Scripting tab.
- Leave the File name box blank.

- Select the Multilink tab.
- Select Do not use additional devices.

- Click the OK button.
- Select the Event Log tab.
- To log all connection results and error messages (recommended), uncheck
Disable event log.

- Click the OK button.

- To connect to DigiTex.net, click the Connect button.
