Configure Trumpet Winsock 2.1 F

  1. Double-click the Trumpet Winsock icon.

  2. From the File menu, choose Setup.
  3. In the IP Address text box, type 0.0.0.0.
  4. In the Name Server text box, type 68.93.224.10  68.93.224.12
  5. In the Domain Suffix text box, type DigiTex.net

  6. In the MTU text box, type 512
  7. In the TCP RWIN text box, type 2048
  8. In the TCP MSS text box, type 472

  9. In the Demand load timeout (secs) text box, type 5

  10. In the TCP RTO MAX text box, type 60

  11. Check the Internal PPP check box.
  12. In the SLIP port text box, type the COM port for which your modem is configured.
  13. In the Baud rate text box, select the appropriate port speed for your modem. For 14.4 modems use 19200, for 28.8 modems use 38400 and for 56k use 57600.
  14. Check the Hardware handshaking check box.
  15. Un-check the Van Jacobson CSLIP compression check box.

  16. Select DCD (RLSD) check.

  17. Click the OK button.
  18. Click the OK button to restart.
  19. From the File menu, choose Exit.
  20. From the Dialer menu, choose 1 setup.cmd
  21. If your modem requires a specific initialization string, type it in the Modem Initialization String text box. If it does not require a specific initialization string use the default.

  22. Click the OK button.
  23. In the Enter your phone number text box, type your local DigiTex.net access number. Remember to check with your local telephone company to make sure that the number you choose is a local toll-free call.
  24. If you are in an office and need to dial a number to access a telephone line, type it in front of your telephone number immediately followed by a comma. For example: 9,
  25. If you wish to disable call waiting, type *70 before the telephone number, immediately followed by a comma. Not all areas use *70 to disable call waiting so if *70 does not work for you, contact your local telephone company for the correct code. Note that call waiting will always turn back on after you disconnect from DigiTex.net.

  26. Click the OK button.
  27. In the Enter your login username text box, type your DigiTex.net username. For example: username

  28. Click the OK button.
  29. In the Enter your login password text box, type your DigiTex.net password.

  30. Click the OK button.
