Modifying the Modem Initialization String
	Operating System: MacOS 8 Application: OT/PPP Application Version: 1.0.1

1. From the menu bar click the Apple icon and choose Control Panels.
2. Double-click the PPP Control Panel.

   

3. From the menu bar click PPP and choose Modem.

   

4. From the Modem: pull down list, select Null Modem 115200.

   

5. Close the Modem window.

   

6. Click the Save button.

   

7. In the Name text box, type username
8. In the Password text box, type your password
9. In the Number text box, type 9
10. Click the Options button.

    

11. Select the Protocol tab.
12. Check the Connect to command-line-host box.
13. Select the Use Terminal window button.
14. Click the OK button.

    

15. Click the Connect button.

    

16. At the prompt type the desired initialization string. For example: ATZ
17. Press the Enter key, and wait for the OK.

    

18. Click the Settings button.
19. Check the Close Terminal when PPP is started check box.
20. Check the Prompt to save Connect Script on close check box.
21. Click the Save button.
22. After the OK prompt, type ATDT press the space bar once, then your local access number. Press the Enter key, wait for the OK.
23. Click the Continue button.

    

24. Click the Save button.
25. In the Save as text box, type My Connect Script
26. Click the Save button.

    

27. Click the Options button.
28. Select the Protocol tab.
29. Select the Use connect script button.
30. Select the Import Script button.

    

31. Select the My Connect Script you just made, and select Open
32. Click the OK button.
33. Click the Connect button.
