Getting Started with CoolTalk 1.5

Download
- Open a web browser (Netscape Navigator, MSIE, Macweb, etc.)
- In the Location or Net site text box, type http://home.netscape.com/comprod/products/navigator/
cooltalk/download_cooltalk.html
- Download CoolTalk for PowerPC to your Desktop.
- After downloading, click File and select Quit.
Install
- Double-click the CoolTalk for Mac OS Install folder.

- Double-click the Installer icon.

- Click the Continue button.
- Read the Apple Software License Agreement and click the Agree button if you agree to its terms.

- Click the Install button.

- Click the Restart button.
Configure
- Double-click the CoolTalk for Mac OS folder.

- Double-click the CoolTalk icon.

- In the Please enter in your name text box, type your username.
- Click the OK button.


- On the menu bar, click Edit and select Preferences.
- Click the General tab.
- In the Connection area, set your Connection Speed.
- In the Incoming Calls area, unselect Ignore all incoming calls.
- Select Ask me if I want to accept the incoming call.
- In the Stop asking after text box, type 60
- Unselect Automatically answer the call.
- The Ring Volume should be set to 50.
- In the 411 Directory area, unselect Make me available to others through an online directory. (unless you have the address of a directory server.)

- Click the Personal tab.
- In the Enter information you want others to receive text boxes, type the information that you would like others view. Your IP address will be entered
automatically.

- Click the Audio/Video tab.
- Select Automatic Setup.

- Click the More A/V tab.
- In the Audio Source area, for the Device, select Built-in.
- For the Source, select Microphone.
- Click the OK button.

- On the menu bar, click Conference and select Call.
- Click the Type In tab.
- Type the IP Address of the person you would like to talk to.

- On the menu bar, click Conference and select About"username".
