Install

1. Exit any applications that are still running.
2. Double-click the Communicator install file.
3. Click the Yes button to begin installation.

   

4. Click the OK button at the Welcome dialog box.

   

5. Take a moment to read the Software License Agreement. Click the Yes button if you agree to its terms.
6. If necessary, change the Destination Directory. Click the Next button to continue.

   

7. If you get a message that says The directory...does not exist. Do you want to create it?, click the Yes button.

   

8. Click the Next button.
9. Click the Install button to confirm the Current Settings.

   

10. Click the No button to decline the README file.
11. Click the OK button to confirm the Information dialog box.
12. Click the OK button to restart Windows 95.

    

Configure

1. Click the Start button.
2. From the Start menu, point to Netscape Communicator and choose Netscape Navigator.

   

3. Click the OK button to start the SetupWizard.

   

4. Each user of a Communicator on a particular machine has a group of settings called a Profile. Click the Next button to start creating your user profile.

   

5. In the Full Name text box, type your name.
6. In the Email Address text box, type your DigiTex.net username, followed by @digitex.net. For example: username@digitex.net

   

7. Click the Next button to continue.
8. Click the next button to confirm the spelling of your username.

   

9. In the Outgoing mail [SMTP] server text box, type mail.digitex.net
10. Click the Next button.

    

11. In the Incoming Mail Server text box, type mail.digitex.net
12. Click the Next button.

    

13. In the News (NNTP) server text box, type news.connect.net

    

14. Click the Finish button.

    

15. Click the Start Communicator button to confirm the selected profile.

    

16. From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.

    

17. In the Location text box, type http://www.digitex.net

    

18. Under Category, double-click Composer.
19. Select Publishing.

    

20. Under Enter a FTP or HTTP site address to Publish to:, type ftp://ftp-www.digitex.net/web
21. Under If publishing to a FTP site, enter the HTTP address to browse to:, type http://home.digitex.net/ followed by your username. For example: http://home.digitex.net/username
22. Click the OK button.
