FTP Download

  1. Open My Computer.
  2. Open Dial-Up Networking.
  3. Double-click the DigiTex.net icon.
  4. In the Username field type your username, without any spaces.
  5. Enter your password.
  6. Click the Connect button.
  7. Wait for Dial-Up Networking to connect.
  8. Click the Start button.
  9. Click Run.
  10. In the Open field, type ftp ftp.microsoft.com.
  11. At the User prompt, click OK.
  12. Type ftp and press Enter.
  13. For the password, type your email address, then press enter.
  14. Type cd /softlib/mslfiles, then press Enter.
  15. Type hash
  16. Press Enter.
  17. Type bin
  18. Press Enter.
  19. Type get msie302.exe and press Enter.
  20. Type bye and press Enter.
  21. Close the Dial-Up Networking window.
  22. In the Connected to... window, click Disconnect.
  23. Close the My Computer window.

Install

  1. On the desktop, look for msie302.exe and double-click it.
  2. When you see This will install Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0. Do you wish to continue?, Click OK.
  3. Wait for the files to extract.
  4. Click I Agree when you see Internet Explorer License Agreement.
  5. When you see Internet Explorer Installation, Click OK. Setup will begin Copying Files.
  6. When you're prompted to restart your computer, click Yes.
  7. Wait for the computer to reboot.
  8. Double-click the icon labeled The Internet.

Configure

  1. When you see the Internet Connect Wizard. click Next.
  2. Click Current.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Click Always perform this check when starting Internet Explorer to uncheck it.
  5. Click Yes if you intend Explorer to be your primary Web browser, rather than Netscape Navigator.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Click Manual.
  8. Click Next.
  9. Click Next.
  10. Click Next.
  11. Click Next.
  12. Click Next.
  13. Click Next.
  14. Click Next.
  15. Click Next.
  16. Verify User name and Password
  17. Click Next.
  18. Click Next.
  19. In the DNS Server field, type 206.160.192.10.
  20. In the Alternate DNS Server field, type 206.160.192.12.
  21. Click Next again.
  22. Click the box next to Use Internet Mail to put a check in it.
  23. In the Your Email address field, type your email address.
  24. In the Internet mail server field, type mail.digitex.net.
  25. Click Next.
  26. Click New.
  27. Click OK.
  28. Under Profile, click the down arrow and click Internet Mail Settings.
  29. Click Next.
  30. Click Finish.
  31. Click Connect.
  32. On the menu bar, click View.
  33. Click Options.
  34. Click the Navigation tab.
  35. Delete the contents of the Address field.
  36. In the Address field, type www.digitex.net.
  37. Click OK.
  38. Microsoft Internet Mail and News, continue click Next.
  39. Click the Go to Download Area Now button.
  40. In the field under IE Additional Components, click the down arrow.
  41. Click Internet Mail and News for Windows 95 & NT 4.0.
  42. Click Next.
  43. Click Next.
  44. Click any of the blue links for mailnews.
  45. Click OK.
  46. Click Save.
  47. Minimize each open window.
  48. Double-click the icon labeled mailnews.
  49. Click Yes to accept the license agreement. Setup will being Extracting files.
  50. Internet Mail and News Installation.
  51. In the Name field, enter your full name.
  52. Confirm Name and Organization.
  53. Click Next.
  54. Specify Internet Mail, Internet News or both.
  55. Click Next.
  56. Confirm location to install.
  57. Click Next again.
  58. Click Finish.
  59. Copying Files.
  60. Internet Mail and News has been installed successfully.
  61. Click OK.
  62. When you are prompted to restart your computer, click Yes.
  63. Wait for the Windows 95 to restart Click on the Start button.
  64. Go up to Programs.
  65. Click Internet Mail.
  66. Internet Mail .
  67. Click Next.
  68. In the Name field, enter your full name.
  69. In the Email Address field, enter your email address.
  70. Click Next.
  71. In the Incoming Mail (POP3) Server field, type mail.digitex.net.
  72. In the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server field, type mail.digitex.net.
  73. Click Next.
  74. In the Email Account, type your username.
  75. In the Password field, type your DigiTex.net login password.
  76. Click Next Click I use a modem to access my email.
  77. Under Use the following Dial-Up Networking connection, click the down arrow.
  78. Click DigiTex.net.
  79. Click Next.
  80. Congratulations, you are now ready to start sending and receiving email on the Internet.
  81. Click Finish.
