Removing America Online Software Operating System: MacOS Application: AOL

1. Double-click the Macintosh Hard Drive icon.
2. Find the America Online Folder.
3. If you want to save anything from the America Online folder, drag that item out to the desktop.
4. Drag the America Online Folder to the trash.
5. Double-click the System Folder.
6. Double-click the Extensions Folder.
7. Find the icon called AOL Link and drag it to the trash. Find the icon called TCPack for AOL and drag it to the trash.

   

8. Close the Extensions window with the button in the upper left corner of the window.
9. Double-click the Preferences folder.
10. Find the folder called America Online and drag it to the trash.
11. Close the System Folder window with the button in the upper left corner of the window.
12. Under the Special menu at the top of the screen choose Empty Trash.
13. Under the Special menu at the top of the screen choose Restart.
